Dear Friends and Family,

I want to wish you all a Happy Easter, or Vesela Vuskriseniye!  I pray that you all have a deeper revelation of Jesus Christ during this Resurrection celebration.

I am celebrating my fourth Easter in a row here in Bulgaria!  The weather is beautiful spring weather, and I am truly enjoying it!  This weekend was really enjoyable for me.  There is a tradition here during this season to have large bazaars in the main towns of Bulgaria where they sell traditional Bulgarian pottery.  It is very beautiful and unusual, and I enjoy adding to my collection.  I don't llike to shop, but I love looking through the busy booths of the bazaars trying to find a new piece or two.  (I also just enjoy the crowds!)  It is not expensive at all, but there are so many different shapes, colors, and sizes.  This year I bought a small pot with a lid for honey, a sort of pie baking dish, and a tallish narrow bean pot that many people use to make yoghurt here.  Yoghurt is a very famous product here, and there is a yoghurt culture that is only found naturally in Bulgaria.  Maybe now I will try to make some yoghurt.  Hopefully it will turn out better than my sauerkraut which I just decided to throw out!

There is not much new news since my last update just a few days ago, but I do have another kink in my plans to go home.  I finally got the last certificate from the courts on Friday morning that I had been waiting on for my visa renewal.  I thought that I could turn in my paper work, and head home in a week or so.  HOWEVER...when I turned in the paperwork they then told me that I would have to come back for an interview on next Thursday.  (I didn't have an interview last year.)  When I asked if I had everything I needed the girl in the window told me that she didn't know, but they would tell me on Thursday.  So just pray.  I know that everything will work together for good, so I am not going to let myself get all bothered about it.  I will get home when God decides it is the right time.  I just hope it is soon!

Tomorrow is Easter, and I will be preaching tomorrow night at the church.  I have put together treats for the children at church to be given out after church tomorrow morning.  I will also be going to have lunch with a family from the church.  The traditional meal here for Easter is lamb or goat, and no doubt a soup or side dish will include all the extra lamb or goat parts--the liver, kidneys, brain, intestines and such.  It isn't so bad if you just don't think about it.  My aunt told me, "At least it isn't guinea pig!"  (Which I ate in Ecuador.)  That too is not so bad if you just don't mind the head, teeth and claws there on your plate.  I can do all things through Christ!!

Again, have a most blessed Easter!

Be blessed in Jesus Name!
